Recently an article by Travel on Points was shared in various Travel in Points Telegram. The aforementioned article discusses how Capital One’s 1/6 rule isn’t so hard and fast now. I thought I had evaded it in the past but after looking at my spreadsheet I realized I had evaded it twice in a single year.
The story started with a Spark Cash (business) that I had grabbed in early January of 2023. In early May of 2023, I moved to Venture X (business) (see blog post). By mid-September 2023, I added Venture X (personal) to my portfolio. So, each time, the time between the approval of two cards was somewhere between 4-5 months.
