Late 2017, all my Chase credit cards were closed due to “too many inquiries and account”. About a year later, I had applied for a Chase card and was declined for other reason than “unsatisfactory relationship with Chase”. This lead me to think that I was no longer banned by Chase and I wrote a post titled “I’m not banned by Chase anymore?” going over the details.
Recently, there were easy loopholes to bypass 5-24 and sure enough I made an attempt to get approved. Everything was put on pending. Some were declined for “too many inquires with us”, another for “had bonus in last 48 months” but one in particular stood out: a prior credit card or deposit account was closed by Chase.
One would think that getting back with Chase after getting shutdown for “too many inquires/account” would be easier but I guess not. They remember, even in this case.
