Since many of you were talking about iPhone SE deals in my deal chat telegram group, I thought it would be beneficial to post about some of the current deals as a blog post.
T-Mobile ($300 Discount – “Free”)
Get iPhone SE On Us via 24 monthly bill credits with eligible trade-in.
- Trade in one of these devices for a “free” iPhone SE
- iPhone 8
- iPhone 8 Plus
- iPhone 7
- iPhone 7 Plus
- Trade in one of these devices for $300 off
- iPhone 6
- iPhone 6 Plus
Usual Fine Print:
- You’ll receive a trade-in credit based on the fair market value of your trade-in device. If you trade in a store, you’ll receive your trade-in credit instantly. If you send us your qualifying trade in within 30 days of receiving your new iPhone SE, you’ll receive your trade-in credit on your bill within two bill cycles after your trade in is received.
- We’ll apply the balance of your promotion by crediting your bill each month. If you cancel wireless service, credits may stop & remaining balance on required finance agreement may be due.
Verizon, AT&T and Sprint (up to $200 Discount)
Walmart is offering $200 discount on iPhone SE if you activate with Verizon, AT&T or Sprint. This is also through 24 month bill credit.
Sprint through BestBuy ( up to $150 Discount)
BestBuy is offering $100 discount on Sprint activated iPhone SE with $50 in BestBuy gift card. You can apparently unlock the phone after having active like for 50 days. Read this slickdeals thread to follow this deal.
Red Pocket Mobile ($100 Discount Plus 6 Month Plan)
Red Pocket Mobile (AT&T Network) is offering iPhone SE for $299 with 6 month of 3 GB plan. Looks like this deal is dead at the moment. You can follow this deal in this slickdeals thread.
Closing Thoughts
I am giving all of them a pass. Of all the phone deals I have done (and you all know I do them often), I have one deal with 24 month bill credit (and even that was after much thought). I will wait and see if T-Mobile offers similar deal to what they have without the 24 month commitment. Having said that, if 24 month bill credit work for you then they work for you.
I might also suggest following the last two deals to see if something interesting can be cooked up with those.
