6/7/2023 Update: Here is a Reddit post that shows that a user made $502.31 because of a direct deposit to Yotta. So, yeah, I continue to keep hitting DD at Yotta.
Regulars of this blog should be no stranger to Yotta as I have written about them occasionally. They used to have this program where you could get up to a 1% chance of getting your Yotta debit card purchase fully reimbursed. People were doing all kinds of things to score this deal (see “How are people making thousands of dollars with a Yotta debit card“). I, later on, even crunched the numbers in a separate blog post to see the number of attempts needed to have a reasonable chance of getting a purchase reimbursed. Yotta recently replaced this with “boxes” and the game has changed. The number crunching isn’t so simple but you can find their aggravated results in this transparency page.
The above picture was taken on April 29, 2023, to get the latest result see the above-linked transparency page.
Join me on Yotta using my username LUCKISYOURS and we’ll both get a Loot Box with up to $100 and 1 MILLION tickets into daily number drawings with prizes up to $1m.

Also, get a 1,000 bonus ticket after spending $2,000 within 4 months of getting your Yotta debit card.
So there are three interesting tidbits:
- Unlike before, you now also have a chance to win any cashback (not just full reimbursement). For example, the above screenshot says, in the last 30 days, 47% of the debit card purchases had cashback.
- Additionally, it also says 5% of the paycheck deposit leads to some form of cash kickback.
- The chance of getting your money 2xed is surprisingly decent? In the last 30 days, it seems 0.75% of debit card purchases were fully reimbursed while 0.34% of paychecks were doubled.
If you don’t get cash, you will still get tickets. This article from 2022 says $0.008 which means 1000 tickets will give you 8 bucks. This isn’t great but I guess it is better than nothing. Of course, if you get lucky, you could, in theory, hit their jackpot. It is after all a prize-linked saving account.
Closing Thoughts
I like this. The odds may be low but I like this. It’s silly but adds excitement to paychecks and paying bills 😉
