Venti, a fintech company that gives APY on your cash holding in the form of travel credit, appears to be launching a debit card. I have written about Venti here but in short, I think their take is super interesting but I haven’t been a fan of how they have executed (most notably, I still feel that their platform resembles early beta access platforms).
Both of us will be credited $10 in points when you make your first deposit.

Anyway, becoming a “founder” seems to come with a “free domestic flight” offer. If you read the terms you will realize that it is essentially capped at $200. Less than a month ago the offer was capped to $250. Their debit card is supposed to offer up to 5x rewards but that could mean anything.
I had asked Venti some questions via email. I will attach them here in case someone finds them useful.
Question: Is anyone who opens the debit card going to get $250 worth of travel credit? Is this first come first serve? If so what is the limit?
Venti: The $250 will be delivered in the form of travel credit via Points (after qualifying activities) that can be used toward a booking on Venti. It is not a cash voucher or cash deposit. The goal is to offer the incentive with our limited edition Founder card until the end of this year. Next year, we’ll have different incentives and a more standard card design.
Question: And can you provide any detail on what the 5x earning may look like, when the card may launch, who is the partner bank etc?
Venti: The goal is to launch the virtual checking account with a linked debit card by the end of this year. Regarding the specifics of rewards and our partners, we cannot share those details at this time due their proprietary nature. The 5X rewards amount will most likely be limited to Founders, but our team will evaluate on a quarterly basis.
