The credit card blogosphere is filled with same news on the high affiliate paying products like CSP, CSR, Platinum, Premier, etc. Sure, they are backed by some good program but here are two other cards that currently have killer offer, yet aren’t as talked about.
Barclay Wyndham Business card currently has 90,000 signup bonus. This signup bonus is very easy to hit as you only need to spend $1000 in 90 days for 60,000 points and $2000 in 6 months for additional 30,000 points. The 90,000 signup bonus is double the previous highest signup bonus offered on this card. What else makes this a great card?
- 8x on gas. At the very minimum, you will earn a lot of points while meeting minimum spend.
- 15,000 annual renewal bonus. At most you can stay at two properties for 15k points.
- Low annual fee of $95. Some might say 15k points is wroth it?
- 5x on utility and marketing coupled with cell phone protection. Sure, putting cell phone bill on CIP might be better but not everyone has that card.
- Automatic diamond status (their highest) which includes benefits such as
- give gold
- suite upgrades
- welcome amenity at check-in
- early and late checkout
Unfortunately, Wyndham rewards expire after 18 months of no activity and Wyndham points expire after 4 years, regardless of activity.
The other card to not overlook is Bank of America’s Amtrak card which currently has an insane bonus of 50,000 points. You can get additional $100 offer through dummy booking at Amtrak. Why is this such a big deal? Amtrak’s highest offer doesn’t come around often and the highest offer in the past has been 40,000 points. A lot of people in this space want to get the experience of Amtrak sleeper (or bedroom) experience at least once (perhaps on California Zephyr) and this signup bonus is an easy way to get that experience.
Closing Thoughts
I already applied for both and was denied lol

Two great signup bonii indeed. You can also convert JetBlue points to Amtrak 2:1, which is a good ratio.
The best thing about Wyndham Diamond may be the match to Caesar.
[…] A while ago I had acquired 50k Wyndham points through what was at time time an all time high bonus on Barclay Wyndham card. But recently Wyndham had a even higher all time high bonus and I have talked about how good that bonus is here. […]
