RoomiPay 0% Fee via Referral WAS Possibly the Greatest Couch MS Opportunity of 2018

Many of you used, or still use, RoomiPay. Many of you waited patiently by your computer, tablet, etc pressing F5 and trying to snag that 0% fee deal that limited for first 150 individuals or so. Some smartypants realized they could auto-fill everything and win the 0% race more or less every single month. But what if you didn’t have to wait by the computer and were guaranteed 0% fee instead? What if you could use RoomiPay multiple times at 0% fee at your own pace? Well, this was a thing for a good deal of time but now it is dead.

Do you remember seeing “referred by” section in every RoomiPay form? You can still fill up the section with referrer’s email but doing so has no meaning anymore. Roomi referrals are gone…it’s dead, Jim.

You are probably thinking “what the heak made Roomi referrals so great?”

Was it the fact that getting a referral meant you were guaranteed to get 0% fee on next month’s rent payment?

You could collude with friends, or strangers on telegram chat, and refer each other every single month.

If you were feeling a bit sneaky, you could have referred yourself using an alternative email and that often would have done the job.

But wait there is more.

Sometimes you had to ask them for the link. This meant not everyone knew about the 0% fee link. A lot of people probably filled up the referral box with their email but didn’t think much of it, after all, sometimes Roomi would not send out 0% link on their own.

Lastly, the most importantly bit – 0% fee link was a generic link. If you used some common sense you could use the generic link as many times as you desired across as many cards as you liked.

This was one of the major loopholes of Roomi. If you knew about this, you could saved yourself hundreds of dollars in MS fee. In fact, by using cards like AT&T Access More and Alliant 3% you could have made hundreds of free money every month.

I genuinely hope Roomi lasts because good competition in rent payment is much needed. This space is largely dominated by Plastiq and that…just isn’t fun.
