Did you preorder a Samsung device that came with a preorder bonus in terms of Samsung Credit? Well, if you have some Samsung credit then here is a post to that will tell you how to optimize your credit.
Several months ago when S20 was launched, it came with a preorder bonus of $100 for a Galaxy S20 5G, $150 for S20+ 5G, and $200 for S20 Ultra 5G. I know some of my regular readers picked up “BOGO” deal through T-Mobile so hopefully this post is of use to some of those folks as well as folks in the future who try to figure out how they can optimize Samsung Credit.
Know The Limitations/Restrictions
Here are a few limitation of the Samsung credit:
- You need to file a claim with Samsung within a certain time period of purchase to get the credit.
- The credit will expire so make you use them before their expiry date.
- The credit is technically a coupon code and cannot be combined with other coupon discount, including yet another credit. In other words, if you have two $100 credit then you can’t burn them both in the same order.
Sales + Samsung Credit + Student/Teacher Discount
Even though you can’t stack another coupon with these Samsung credits, you can stack it with promotional discount (aka sale) and student/teacher discount. You can quickly register for student/teacher discount by providing qualifying .edu email here.
A Galaxy Active Watch 2 for $116.99 + tax, not bad, eh? If you are in a market for buying smartwatch then maybe wait a few more days. The Galaxy Watch 3 is right around the corner (assumed launch date of around July 22) and promotional discount on Galaxy Active Watch 2 itself might increase as we get closer to the launch date.
Don’t Forget the Portal
Typically you will find cashback portals (remember to use cashbackmonitor to check best portal option) give somewhere around 5% on Samsung.com and looks like currently Ebates is giving up to 6% cashback on Samsung.com
If you still have not signed up for Ebates and TopCashBack then consider supporting the blog by using the links below. You may get a small signup bonus as well.
Selling the Code
You can use the code in whichever Samsung account you like, this means getting student/teacher discount should be a lot easier – just ask someone in your family who has one of those accounts.
This also means, you can sell the code. However, only consider selling the code to someone you trust.
Closing Thoughts
You might be able to extend the expiration date of the code by contacting LG via chat.
