Citi has launched Scan & Buy which is supposedly a “visual search tool meant to make searching and shopping easy”.
How Does it Work?
- Join using the beta code that was provided in the email
- said email is titled ” we’d like your help testing a new feature” and was sent from citicards@info4.citi.com
- do not claim that you’ve never used Citi Pay app
- You can access the program at https://citi.cspace.com
- Alternatively, you may also use “community by C Space” app on mobile devices. Turns out it is a pretty decent app.
- Scan and Buy on Citi pay app
- get rewarded for completing activities and surveys
FAQs
(following have been copy pasted from Cspace site. As of writing this article, there the “Citi Scan and Buy FAQs” are marked as coming soon.)
When you participate in the community at least 2+ times each month, you will receive a $10 Amazon.com e-certificate.
How do I participate in community activities?
Every
time we have new activities in the community, you’ll receive an email
about them from “Scan and Buy community”! You can log into the community
whenever you like on your computer or through our C Space mobile app
(see the video below) and see what activities we have for you.
And what do I get in return?
As
a thank you for joining the community, you will receive a $10
Amazon.com e-certificate (emailed to you and found on your profile page
in the community). In addition, if you participate in at least 2
activities per month you will receive a $10 Amazon.com e-certificate.
You may also be selected to participate in special projects giving you
opportunities to earn even more!
Is the community mobile capable?
Yes! The community can be accessed from your mobile device or tablet. Simply type the community website to your mobile browser and sign in with your credentials. Or use our Community by C Space app. Not all activities can be accessed on the app but we will let you know when that is the case.
I have trouble logging into the community. How can this be made easier?
On sign in, you can check off the box “Keep me logged in” to have the community remember your password for an extended period of time.
Closing Remark
I think pretty much everyone is confused in regards to what is happening here and that is understandable since the program is in beta. As mentioned above, the FAQs haven’t even been setup yet!
Worst case scenario, it looks like I will get $10 for signing up. Best case scenario I can get additional $10 per month. Not too bad.
