During my recent trip to Los Angeles, I decided to stay at Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City because I was interested in staying in that part of the city and cost of booking seemed reasonable. At the time the cost was 42k/night but Hilton was giving a 1k rebate for booking through the Hilton app, so I guess this cost me 41k/night.
The hotel provided free transportation to Universal Studio Hollywood which is probably about 5 minute walk away from the hotel. The hotel is also 7 miles away from the Griffith Observatory.
Now as for the hotel itself, I can’t really think of anything bad about it nor can I think of anything spectacular. I think the thing that stood out most, to me anyway, was the view from my room. I’ve no idea why but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
As a Diamond member I was given free intercontinental buffet breakfast and had an option to upgrade to full breakfast for an additional $20. My SO wasn’t very found of the breakfast while I found myself satisfied with fruit and sealed yogurts. The picture below more or less displays everything that is offered as a free breakfast to Gold+ member.
Bathroom amenities weren’t bad. I always like it when hotels allow one to request (or provide) mini-paste.
Finally, here are some pictures of the room itself.
Overall Thought
Good hotel with solid location. If I was looking to explore this area, I would book this hotel again.
