If you read this blog then you might know that I closely track phone deals. In past couple of days various deals have been offered on Samsung’s S9 Models and here is a post on the interesting ones.

Amazon is offering discounted price on S9 models of Samsung phones PLUS a choice between
- echo show or
- echo spot and echo
I won’t bother plastering my affiliate link on Note 9 because that ‘deal’ isn’t worth it.
I would pick echo show over the other two because I’m likely to make more by reselling that over the other two combined.
Is this a great deal? If you really need the phone right now then sure. Otherwise, I’ll just point to the fact that nobody is buying on these deals to resell. Amazon is simply selling you something that is dropping in price fast and they’re tagging their own product in this.
Costco/T-Mobile (BEST DEAL)
You can buy Samsung S9/S9+ models at Costco and get Costco $250 gift card mailed to you as rebate. You get $350 gift card mailed to you for Note 9.
The great thing about this deal is that you can because you’re purchasing the phone at a higher price, you can use price protection benefit of your credit card to get some cashback. For example, if you were to use Costco Visa from Citi you can get $200 back in the form of price protection.

The official Samsung site is running sale of their own. The S9 starts at $519.99 while S9+ starts at $639.99. You can stack 10% student discount (very easy to get by the way) on top. Additionally, currently Ebates is offering 6% cashback on Samsung.
Note 9 starts at $799.99 which is the same price as Amazon, except you get extra goodies via Amazon deal.
Reality Store
The reality is that Samsung prices drop real quick. They’re expected to drop further so if you can wait a month or so then do that. Otherwise, you can use a card with price drop protection and benefit from the fact that price drop will happen.
Also, it is worth mentioning that S10 models will be massive upgrade over their S9 models. S9 models are still a great phone but the hype for S10 is unreal.
Before committing to these deals, just make sure that you won’t have a buyers remorse few months later.
